Activities in relation to the UNESCO Chair
Since his appointment in 2024 as National Representative of the UNESCO Chair Global Health & Education in Benin, he has been actively involved in several initiatives aimed at promoting health equity, health education, and participatory action research. His contributions are part of a dynamic process of strengthening local capacities, producing contextualised knowledge and advocating for the improvement of public policies.
- Member of the advisory committee for the 2024 and 2025 Global Community Health Annual Workshop. He was also a speaker at this workshop on the topic of ‘How do community health projects in Benin contribute to poverty reduction?’ Since June 2023, he has been helping to mobilise participants for the UNESCO Chair Global Community Health Workshop and acts as a facilitator for community health hubs.

Organised virtual meetings and presented a project fact sheet with a proposed advocacy note to be sent to partner ministries or organisations.

Depuis sa nomination en 2024 en tant que Représentant National de la Chaire UNESCO Éducations & Santé au Bénin, il participe activement à plusieurs initiatives visant à promouvoir l’équité en santé, l’éducation pour la santé, ainsi que la recherche-action participative. Ses contributions s’inscrivent dans la dynamique de renforcement des capacités locales, de production de connaissances contextualisées et de plaidoyer pour l’amélioration des politiques publiques.
- Membre du comité consultatif de l’atelier mondial de santé communautaire en 2024 et 2025. Il a été également conférencier à cet atelier sur la thématique « comment les projets de santé communautaire au Bénin contribuent à la réduction de la pauvreté ? ». Depuis Juin 2023, il contribue à la mobilisation des participants à l’atelier mondial de santé communautaire de Chair UNESCO et joue le rôle de facilitateur des Hubs de santé communautaire.

The Health Access Initiative team
Health Access Initiative (HAI) is a youth volunteer organisation registered as a non-profit non-governmental organisation committed to promoting equitable access to healthcare and social justice in Benin. It is based on an innovative approach combining community healthcare and social justice, action research and youth engagement. Its mission is ‘to build bridges towards equitable and sustainable health for all, while empowering communities, particularly young people, to address health-related challenges.’ HAI works with REFIPS and other partner organisations and universities.

Health Access Initiative (HAI) est une organisation de jeunes volontaires, enregistrée comme une organisation non gouvernementale à but non lucratif engagée dans la promotion de l’accès équitable à la santé et à la justice sociale au Bénin. Fondée sur une approche innovante alliant santé communautaire et justice sociale, recherche-action et engagement des jeunes citoyens. Sa mission est « Bâtir des ponts vers une santé équitable et durable pour tous, tout en responsabilisant les communautés, notamment les jeunes, face aux défis liés à la santé. ». HAI travaille avec REFIPS et d’autres organisations et universités partenaires.
