The main theme of the fifth edition (2025) of the Global Community Health Annual Workshop was ‘Building healthy, fair and climate-smart communities: addressing commercial determinants of health’.
Assignments
Participants completed an individual assignment to put into practice what they had learnt during the workshop. They could choose from one of the following three options:
- A. Describe how public health actions can respond to the impact of the commercial determinants of health on community health in your local or national situation;
- B. Describe a community health initiative which includes participatory methods, that you know of or that you are involved in;
- C. Choose and reflect on (one of) the presentations and how its content can impact your study/work.
The assignments were evaluated based on the following criteria: Number of words between 300 and 500 words; Clarity of thought; Reasonable rationale; and Relevant learning shown.
