Ms. Jenelle Babb<\/strong> is Regional Advisor on Education for Health and Well-being, based in the UNESCO Multisectoral Regional Office in Bangkok. She has been working in the areas of HIV prevention education, comprehensive sexuality education, school health and young people\u2019s health and well-being for more than 15 years. In her role as Regional Advisor she leads the implementation of UNESCO\u2019s Strategy on education for health and well-being in the Asia-Pacific region. This involves supporting ministries of education and their partners to ensure that all learners have access to transformative education for healthy lifestyles and gender equality, that is is delivered in safe and enabling learning envrionments.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Darcy Weaver<\/strong>, serves as Associate Director of AMAZE International at Advocates for Youth. She has extensive experience in technical assistance, project delivery, and global scale-up of sexual and reproductive health initiatives. Darcy is responsible for expanding global partnerships and commitments with AMAZE. She collaborates closely with leading NGOs and UN agencies to adapt and disseminate AMAZE materials on an international scale. Darcy holds Masters Degrees in both Public Health and Public Administration. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr.<\/strong> Tigran Yepoyan <\/strong>is UNESCO regional HIV and health education advisor for Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He oversees the development and promotion of ICT-powered tools for health and well-being education for young people and supports teacher capacity building for violence prevention and health education. Has 25+ years of working experience in the field of HIV, education, health, social support, youth and community development in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. He is based in Moscow at the UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education, where he heads the Unit of ICT in Health Education.  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Ekaterina Samolygo<\/strong>, is Project Coordinator at UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education (IITE). She brings over 4 years of experience in international development and humanitarian aid. Her expertise encompasses overseeing diverse projects focusing on comprehensive health and education initiatives, including youth-led programs addressing critical issues such as bullying, media literacy, human rights, and sexuality education. Ekaterina’s work extends to managing social media initiatives for parents and overseeing AI-based chatbots that contribute to the delivery of health and well-being education.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Goof Buijs<\/strong>, is the manager of UNESCO Chair \/ WHO Collaborating Centre Global Health & Education. From 2019 he is director of Global Health & Education Consultancy. His field of expertise is bringing health and education together. He is an experienced networker, expert in creating and leading international projects focused on prevention and youth, innovator, trainer and facilitator of events and conferences. He supports cooperation among people, focusing on everyone\u2019s talents and uniqueness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Health and relationships education aims to equip children and young people with knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that empower them to realize their health, well-being and dignity; consider how their choices affect themselves and others; develop respectful and enjoyable relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This all will not happen, if children and young people are not deeply engaged in what they discuss in the classroom, do not perceive it relevant to their own life, and the life of their peers and communities, and if they do not experience feelings and emotions that would encourage them to apply the learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Therefore, teachers are increasingly looking for solutions that will help make their lessons more interesting, exciting, vibrant, and at the same time accurate, informative and stimulating reflection and discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the second webinar where educators, health promoters, school health workers and other interested actors will learn about digital tools that have impacted the way the health and relationships education (with a particular focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights) is delivered and experienced by young people in different parts of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speakers from AMAZE Project, UNESCO regional office in Bangkok and UNESCO Institute for Information Technologies in Education will talk about:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  3. The ingredients of success for high impact digital solutions for health and relationships education reaching large and diverse audiences and sustainability factors of digital edutainment project.  <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
