Professor Elvis Enowbeyang Tarkang<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am a Professor of Health Promotion at the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), Ghana and the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa, where I have developed and taught several courses in Health Promotion and supervised several students at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have been a member of the School of Public Health institutional review since 2015. As a Registered Health Promotion Practitioner (RHPP) and an Assessor for the International Union of Health Promotion and Education, I have done assessment of many international educational institutions during accreditation of their health promotion courses.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Je suis Professeur en promotion de la sant\u00e9 \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 des sciences de la sant\u00e9 et des sciences connexes (UHAS) au Ghana et \u00e0 l’Universit\u00e9 du KwaZulu-Natal \u00e0 Durban, en Afrique du Sud, o\u00f9 j’ai con\u00e7u et enseign\u00e9 plusieurs cours en promotion de la sant\u00e9 et encadr\u00e9 de nombreux \u00e9tudiants du premier cycle au troisi\u00e8me cycle.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis 2015, je suis membre du comit\u00e9 d’\u00e9valuation institutionnelle de l’\u00c9cole de sant\u00e9 publique. En tant que praticien agr\u00e9\u00e9 en promotion de la sant\u00e9 (RHPP) et \u00e9valuateur pour l’Union Internationale de Promotion de la Sant\u00e9 et d’\u00c9ducation pour la Sant\u00e9 (IUHPE-UIPES), j’ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 l’\u00e9valuation de nombreux \u00e9tablissements d’enseignement internationaux dans le cadre de l’accr\u00e9ditation de leurs programmes de promotion de la sant\u00e9.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Nationally, I have been doing reviews for the Health Promotion Department of the University of Cape Coast, and was a Member of the technical team of a 3-day residential workshop organised by HPD of GHS to review the Social and Behavior Change (SBC) toolkits and training curriculum (SBC Capacity Assessment Tool, Change Agents Development Program and Set for Change Program) in Koforidua, Ghana from the 6th<\/sup> to the 8th<\/sup> of April 2022 and also a member of the final validation meeting towards the final draft of the 2022-2026 Health Promotion Strategy of HPD of GHS organised in Kumasi, Ghana on the 14th<\/sup> of April 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Internationally, I have been a Consultant with the International Labour Organization on HIV and the World of Work since 2014 and a Consultant with the International AIDS Society. I have been in managerial position for over 20 years now. I am the founder and CEO of a non-Governmental Organization for HIV prevention through Health Promotion Activities (www.hivprec.org<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have over 140 publications in peer-reviewed journals, and I am a Reviewer\/Editor for many international peer-reviewed journals, having reviewed\/edited over 400 manuscripts. I have presented papers and facilitated at several international conferences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Au niveau national, j’ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des \u00e9valuations pour le D\u00e9partement de promotion de la sant\u00e9 de l’Universit\u00e9 de Cape Coast et j’ai \u00e9t\u00e9 membre de l’\u00e9quipe technique d’un atelier r\u00e9sidentiel de trois jours organis\u00e9 par le HPD du GHS afin d’\u00e9valuer les outils et le programme de formation sur le changement social et comportemental (SBC) (outil d’\u00e9valuation des capacit\u00e9s SBC, programme de d\u00e9veloppement des agents de changement et programme Set for Change) qui s’est tenu \u00e0 Koforidua, au Ghana, du 6 au 8 avril 2022. J’ai \u00e9galement particip\u00e9 \u00e0 la r\u00e9union finale de validation de la strat\u00e9gie de promotion de la sant\u00e9 2022-2026 du HPD du GHS, organis\u00e9e \u00e0 Kumasi, au Ghana, le 14 avril 2022.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Au niveau international, je suis consultant aupr\u00e8s de l’Organisation internationale du travail sur le VIH et le monde du travail depuis 2014 et consultant aupr\u00e8s de l\u2019International AIDS Society. J’occupe des postes de direction depuis plus de 20 ans. Je suis le fondateur et le directeur ex\u00e9cutif d’une organisation non gouvernementale d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la pr\u00e9vention du VIH par des activit\u00e9s de promotion de la sant\u00e9 (www.hivprec.org).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

J’ai publi\u00e9 plus de 140 articles dans des revues \u00e0 comit\u00e9 de lecture et j’interviens comme relecteur\/r\u00e9dacteur pour de nombreuses revues scientifiques internationales, ayant r\u00e9vis\u00e9 ou \u00e9dit\u00e9 plus de 400 manuscrits. J’ai pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 des communications et anim\u00e9 des sessions lors de plusieurs conf\u00e9rences internationales.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
