Description
This study aims to investigate how socioeconomic and gender inequalities, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, have marked youth sexual initiation and the dynamics of social and sexual interactions, with impact on SARS-CoV-2 prevention. Understanding how young students from public high school face violence and discrimination associated with gender and sexual orientation in their experiences with sexuality is one of the objectives linked to this post-doctoral fellowship.
The fellow will join a research project supported by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) through a call for proposals FAPESP has launched in 2021 to foster research aimed at public policies for facing the COVID-19-related socioeconomic crisis. This notice is aligned with the United Nations Research Roadmap for the COVID-19 Recovery – based on UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, the document was written with the participation of several scientists and research funding agencies from around the world, FAPESP among them.
