SUMMARY:Global Community Health Annual Workshop 4th edition
DESCRIPTION:The fourth edition of the Global Community Health Annual Workshop will take place from 4 till 6 June 2024 as an online event. \n\n\n\nThe main theme of this year’s workshop is ‘How can community health contribute to fighting poverty?’ The workshop will explore the root causes of poverty\, and how poverty impacts community health. SUMMARY:2nd Edition of the International Forum on Bullying and Cyberbullying - UNESCO Chair speaking
DESCRIPTION:Schools should be places where everyone can learn and grow\, safe\, inclusive and welcoming environments. But the facts show that this is not always the case; in 144 countries globally\, many children and adolescents reported being physically and verbally assaulted at least once during the course of the year. This violence\, this harassment\, has serious consequences both in the short and long term\, threatening the psychological\, social and physical integrity of students in relation to the school and the social fabric that surrounds them\, creating the conditions as also shown in the UNESCO report “Beyond the Numbers: Ending Violence and Harassment in Schools\,” published in 2019\, to be twice as likely to suffer from insomnia\, sense of isolation or suicidal thoughts. Even more alarming today when considering the ‘social media era: because nowadays bullying and harassment no longer stop at the school gates\, but continue and spread online. Increased knowledge about these phenomena and efforts both nationally and globally to reduce their risks are crucial in both the school and social spheres in order to create all those favorable conditions for creating a family\, social and school climate and for both the development and learning of children and young people. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe 2nd edition of the International Forum on Bullying and Cyberbullying is organised by the Observatory on Bullying and Youth Discomfort of the CREG – University of Rome Tor Vergata\, the Municipality of Viterbo\, the National Union of Juvenile Chambers and the Libra ETS Foundation. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n06.02.2024 – dalle ore 09.30 – International Forum at the Sala Regia of the Municipality of Viterbo;\n\n\n\n\n\n07.02.2024 – dalle ore 10.30 alle ore 10.40 – Nationwide Flash Mob ” Let’s make noise against bullying” with educational institutions of all levels and universities
